What's My Brain Augmentation Device?

During the talk, i say:

"From time to time, people come up to me and ask me -- Ping, how come you're so smart?

"Well, actually i have a secret that i don't tell everybody, but... i use a brain augmentation device.

"This device is something i've used pretty much all my life; it changes the way i think; it enhances my memory capacity; it allows me to think differently -- even changes the things that i'm capable of thinking about. Certainly, without this tool, i wouldn't be the person i am today. I probably even wouldn't have been able to survive.

"However, all of you use this tool."

At this point, i am holding up a pencil in front of the audience. I continue:

"What is our nature as human beings?

"We are the constructors of tools; we are the constructors of technology. This is what we do; as human beings, we strive to improve ourselves."
